Product Overview
H13 (AISI) / SKD61 (JIS) / 1.2344 (DIN) / 8407 (ASSAB) is the most widely used chromium-molybdenum-vanadium hot work tool steel. It is the standard choice for aluminum alloy die casting dies, hot forging dies, extrusion tooling, and hot shear blades.
JF Metals supplies H13/SKD61 in the annealed condition (≤235 HB), with excellent toughness, uniform hardness, and outstanding resistance to thermal fatigue and heat checking. Each heat is sampled, sealed, and tested for full traceability, with MTC / COA certificates provided.
We also supply ASSAB 8407 (premium-grade H13 equivalent) for customers requiring the highest internal cleanness and isotropic properties. Available in rounds, flats, and blocks, with saw cutting, milling, and grinding services to your finished dimensions.
